Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a location near electrical outlet with proper ventilation clearance (minimum 3 inches on top and sides).
- Check Electrical Requirements: Ensure dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 15A circuit is available. Do not use with GFCI outlets.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: For over-the-range models, locate wall studs and mark mounting positions.
- Install Mounting Plate: Secure mounting plate to wall using appropriate hardware for your wall type.
- Connect Ventilation: Install ductwork for external ventilation if required by your model.
- Mount Microwave: With assistance, lift microwave and hook onto mounting plate. Secure with provided screws.
- Electrical Connection: Plug into dedicated outlet. For hardwired models, connect electrical wires following local codes.
- Test Operation: Run microwave for 1 minute with a cup of water to verify proper operation.
