Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a location with proper ventilation, away from heat sources and with easy access to electrical outlet.
- Check Clearances: Ensure minimum clearances are maintained - 3 inches on top, 2 inches on sides, and 1 inch in rear for proper ventilation.
- Electrical Connection: Connect to a dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 15-20 amp grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.
- Countertop Placement: Place on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the microwave is level using a spirit level.
- Over-the-Range Installation: For OTR models, secure mounting bracket to wall studs and ensure proper venting connection.
- Test Operation: Run the microwave for 1 minute with a cup of water to verify proper operation and check for any unusual sounds.
- Final Check: Ensure door opens and closes smoothly and all controls are functioning properly.
