Step-by-Step Installation
- Prepare Installation Area: Ensure proper clearance above cooktop (minimum 30 inches) and verify cabinet structure can support microwave weight.
- Locate Wall Studs: Use stud finder to locate and mark wall studs for secure mounting.
- Install Mounting Plate: Secure mounting plate to wall studs using provided hardware.
- Prepare Electrical Connection: Ensure dedicated 120V, 60Hz, 15-20 amp circuit is available. Microwave must be properly grounded.
- Install Ventilation: Connect ductwork for external ventilation (recommended) or set up recirculating ventilation with charcoal filter.
- Mount Microwave: With assistance, lift microwave onto mounting plate and secure with mounting bolts.
- Final Connections: Connect power cord, install grease filters, and ensure all connections are secure.
- Test Operation: Test all functions including microwave cooking, ventilation fan, and lighting.
