Installation Guide

Requirements:

  • SmartThings Hub (if required)
  • SmartThings mobile app
  • Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz/5GHz)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Download SmartThings App: Install the SmartThings app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Create Samsung Account: Sign in with your existing Samsung account or create a new one within the app.
  3. Add SmartThings Hub: If using a SmartThings Hub, plug it into power and connect to your router via Ethernet cable.
  4. Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you'll use for SmartThings devices.
  5. Add Devices: Tap "Add Device" in the app and follow on-screen instructions to add your smart devices (lights, plugs, sensors, etc.).
  6. Create Automations: Set up routines and automations to control multiple devices with single commands or schedules.
  7. Test System: Test all connected devices and automations to ensure proper operation.
